My Dad started his first healthy kick. Men have it pretty easy compared to women when it comes to getting in shape. To lose a quick 10 pounds, all my Dad or my Husband would have to do is give up their favorite sweets or soda. If I did the same dang thing, I would either stay the same or somehow gain weight!
For the people out there struggling to get in shape, I sympathize with you. I know and live the struggle. There are some days when I get back from work, where I want to become one with the couch, order a pizza and be hand feed pieces of chocolate while watching my favorite drama. Getting the energy to get up, work out and prepare a healthy dinner or meal prep is exhausting.
Here is a cute little recipe to throw together some of those healthy ingredients in your cupboards to make a quick protein snack.
- Your favorite Protein Powder (we used a vanilla flavored protein)
- Sweetened Coconut Flakes
- Honey or Agave Nectar
- Chia Seeds
- Vanilla Extract
- Your favorite Nut Butter (examples: peanut, almond, cashew, ETC)
Step 1: Combine all ingredients until well combined.
Step 2: Cover a baking sheet with parchment or wax paper.
Step 3: Using a small ice cream scooper, scoop out the energy balls and place on the paper.
Step 4: Place in the fridge.
