Roasted Garlic Broccoli


So to go along with the recent health craze, I need to find a way to like broccoli. I was one of those children that hated eating my veggies. Much to my mother’s frustration, so did my father. Therefore I didn’t really have to eat them growing up and am now struggling to find ways to get them into my diet.

I feel the first thing to do is to make them taste yummy, even if it is not the most healthy way possible. I hated cauliflower for the longest time! Then I started to eat them breaded and fried. After I started eating it breaded and baked. Now I can eat it any way!

I am going on a journey to fall in love with broccoli. Let’s start with this recipe and see how our love connection develops 🙂

* 1 cup of cooked broccoli is 1 vegetable serving.



  • 1 head worth of Broccoli Florets
  • 1/4 cup of Roasted Chicken Drippings
  • 3 Garlic Cloves, minced

Step 1: Pre-heat oven to 425 degrees.

Step 2: Cut broccoli into florets. 

Step 3: Spread florets in a baking dish.


Step 4: Pour garlic and chicken drippings.

Step 5: Cook for 10 minutes.


Step 6: Eat and Enjoy!
